We're BACK.

Well we're back. Brielle was admitted into Freeman Pediatric Ward this afternoon. We had been watching her closely the past two days. This morning Brielle had a fever and her Pediatrician told us to bring her in for labs and x-rays. After the labs and x-rays we went over to our Pediatricians office where we found out the Brielle is fighting a bacterial and a viral infection. We do know that Brielle may have a small case of pneumonia in her left lung but that is all we know as of right now. Brielle's pediatrician believes she will be in the hospital for no more than 2 days only if her health progresses. If Brielle's health does not get better we will possibly be going to our other home in St. Louis.

It has been a crazy day but things are looking up. All three of us will be staying in the same room which is better than sleeping in a lobby or having Brielle sleeping behind locked doors. It was weird walking into the hospital this evening after men's group. The smell of the hospital and the long walk down the echoing halls bring back memories that are still too familiar. I am thankful we will have the luxury of a professional staff taking care of our fragile little angel. A few of the NICU nurses have been coming in to help with Brielle so it has kind of been a bitter sweet reunion!

God has taken care of us through blood clots, bad gall bladders, spinal issues, brain issues, choking, severe reflux, 2 stomach surgeries, g-buttons and not to mention sleep depravation. I do not see my faithful God taking a vacation anytime soon. I know it may have been too much mentioning the things we have come face to face with the past year but I only do it to remind myself of all the mountains I and my two girls have conquered. And also to remember that we did not conquer those mountains alone. We had you, our family and friends. AND our King has been has been with us every step of the way. We love and appreciate all of you and your prayers. We will keep you updated.

Bri's booboo

We had to make a semi-emergency Dr. visit today for Brielle. She has developed a blister under her G-Button that kind of put Dianne and I in a scare. We noticed it last night when we were giving Brielle her bath. I called the Pediatric surgeon in St. Louis last night and they had suggested we see our Pediatrician as soon as possible. We we able to get an appointment today and went in so Brielle's Dr. could look at her booboo. The Dr. was very relived because this sore is very treatable, in fact she said that these kind of sores are common especially for really active babies. The sore is more of a blister kind of what you would get if you wore shoes without socks. We spent about an hour at the Dr.'s office familiarizing ourselves with what we need to do to treat the sore. We were given some antibiotics and a few other medications and the Dr. was confident this sore should subside within 10 days or so. I would like to ask for your continued prayers with Brielle's recovery. She is getting so big and her RED hair is coming in quite nicely! While at the Dr.'s office we did receive some good news. When Brielle's Dr. first laid eyes on her today she immediately became excited and wanted to weigh her. Brielle weighed in at a whopping 12.5 lbs.! Her Dr. is so happy with her progress! Thank you all for your love and encouragement. We are still fighting the secretions which seem to fluctuate along with this weather. Our next St. Louis visit will be January 24th and we will be switching out Brielle's button with a larger one which may keep the button from rubbing sores on her belly.
